2009.05.11 - Update

2009 MAWA Eastern Nationals - May 2-3, 2009

Congratulations to youth wrestler Alex Tilley on his impressive 6th place finish at the 2009 MAWA Eastern National Championships in the 40-pound Bantam weight class!  Tilley, in his second year of wrestling, had to place in the top three at both the district and regional championships to qualify for the Nationals. 

Way to go Alex!!

2009.04.29 - Update

2009 MAWA Districts - March 14, 2009

On Saturday, March 14, 2009, the Kennett wrestling team traveled to Great Valley High School to participate in the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Preliminary District Tournament.  (MAWA)  The district tournament is the first of three qualifying tournaments.  The next tournament is the Regional Tournament on April 4-5, 2009, and the top three from there advance to the Eastern National Championships on May 2nd and May 3rd.

22nd Annual Drexel Hill Raiders Winter Classic

On Sunday, March 8, 2009 Kennett Wrestling attended the 22nd Drexel Hill Raiders Winter Classic.  After a tough day of wrestling five wrestlers for Kennett placed in the top four.

2009.02.17 - Update

 PA Junior Wrestling 2009 Area XI South Sectional Qualifier

On Sunday, February 15, 2009, three Kennett wrestlers traveled to Springfield High School to participate in the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling 2009 Area XI South Sectional Qualifier.  The top three place winners from each weight class advance to the PJW Area XI Championships at LaSalle College High School March 14th and 15th.  The top two from that tournament advance to the State Championships at the Louis J Tullio Arena in Erie, Pennsylvania March 20th and 21st.  

Josh Massi placed 4th at 124 pounds.
David Bish placed 2nd at 87 pounds.
Todd Hoopes placed 2nd at 112 pounds.

David Bish and Todd Hoopes will advance to the championships at LaSalle College High School.

2009.02.17 - Update

Springfield Open Tournament

On Sunday, February 15, 2009 3 Kennett Wrestlers traveled to Springfield High School to participate in the 27th Annual Springfield AA Open Tournament.  All three Kennett wrestlers placed in the tournament.  Josh Massi placed 3rd at 124 pounds, David Bish placed 2nd at 87 pounds, and Todd Hoopes was the champion of the 112 pound weight class.

Kennett vs. Upper Moreland and Hatboro Horsham

On Saturday, February 14, 2009, the Kennett Community Wrestling Club held its final tri-meet of the season.  Kennett wrestled Upper Moreland and Hatboro Horsham.  In the matches where Kennett wrestled Upper Moreland and Hatboro Horsham head to head Kennett won 59 matches, Upper Moreland won 28 matches, and Hatboro Horsham won 22 matches.

The Kennett Community Wrestling Club traveled to Conestoga High School to take on Norristown PAL and Conestoga.  In the matches where Kennett wrestled Conestoga and Norristown PAL head to head Kennett won 55 matches, Norristown PAL won 8 matches, and Conestoga won 38 matches.

4th Annual Kennett Novice Tournament

On Sunday, January 18, 2009 the Kennett Community Wrestling Club will host its fourth annual Kennett Blue Demons Round Robin Novice Tournament. 

This tournament is for wrestlers with no more than 2 years experience and whom have not placed 3rd or higher in an open tournament.

Also on December 30th, 17 Kennett Wrestlers traveled to Hanover for a wrestling tournament.  The Kennett wrestlers enjoyed a great day of wrestling with 8 champions and 3 second place finishes.

Kennett Tournament 2006 Results

Thank you to all of the parent volunteers and sponsors. A special congratulations to Kennett wrestlers: 2nd Place Winners: C.J. Lowe, Miles Robinson, and Kyle Forschultz; 3rd Place Winners: Daniel Turner, Brendan Bowens, Connor Hyzny, Liam Hill and Zach Hrenko; 4th Place Winners: Ron Cox, Tristan DiCicco, Giovanni DiCicco, and John Finfrock. 2006.01.22 - Update

Kennett Tournament 2006

Kennett held its first ever youth wrestling tournament. The tournament was a round robin novice tournament. Novice was defined as wrestlers with one or two years of experience. Each wrestler wrestled four or five mathces on the day. The tournament was a huge success. The Blue Demon family would like to thank all of the sponsors, coaches, parents, and wrestlers who made this tournament a success. Thank you for all you do! Kennett Wrestling: This is what we do!

2006.01.20 - Update

West Chester 2006

January 20th the Blue Demons traveled to Church Farm school to compete in their third league meet. They competed against Norchester and West Chester. Next up for the Demons is Methacton on Saturday, January 28th.

2006.01.15 - Update

Lionville 2006

January 14 th the Blue Demons traveled to Lionville for their second league match. The Demons wrestled North Penn, Great Valley , and Lionville. David Bish and Danny Anderson earned their first ever victories. Many of the Blue Demons looked great in their second match. Next up - Friday night in West Chester! Good Luck!

Spring Ford 2006

The Blue Demons traveled to Spring Ford for their first ever league match. The Blue Demons wrestled Pottstown and Spring Ford. Many Kennett wrestlers wrestled in their first match.

2005.12.21 - Update

Novice Tournament to be held Jan. 22nd, 2006

Kennett Blue Demons Novice Wrestling Tournament will take place January 22, 2006 at the Kennett High School. This novice tournament will be wrestled round robin style with Madison weights (click here for an entry form).
